Social Distancing
- New maximum class sizes linked to venue size
- Longer gap between classes to minimise cross class contact.
- Children/Parent/Carers will be encouraged to leave the building promptly and avoid arriving too early to avoid contact with other classes.
- Children to remain near parent/carer at all times
- Parent/carers will bring their own mats and place them on socially distanced markers on the floors to make sure they are 2m apart
- Parent/Carers will wear masks during the class and inside the building
- Parents/carers (until the government guidance changes) will be asked not to sing
- Class leader will wear a full-face shield and remain 2m distance from everyone in class
- Parents/Carers must socially distance (in line with the current Government guidance) from others, including the class leader, in the class and the venue’s common spaces e.g. corridors.
- Everyone attending Magical Music will follow the venue specific Covid-19 guidelines e.g. one way systems, limited people in toilets etc.
- Children should be encouraged to remain near their parent/carer
New Online Booking System
- Registration and booking will be through our ‘New’ online booking system
- Only card payments will be accepted to avoid the handling of cash
- Terms & Conditions will be signed online
Small Equipment & Props
- Children will be allocated their ‘own bag of sterilised props’ at the beginning of the class to avoid handing out props in classes and to enable an easy hand in at the end.
Large Equipment & Props
- No large equipment will be used. Small equipment only.
Hand washing and hygiene
- Children/Parents/Carers to hand sanitise before and after classes
- All venues are now following their own Covid cleaning precautions with extra cleaning especially of common areas
- Surfaces will be regularly wiped and sprayed down including frequently used areas like door handles especially between classes.
- Temperatures will be checked on arrival
- No home toys to be bought to classes.
- Promote good respiratory hygiene by promoting the ‘catch it, bin it, kill it’ approach
Ventilation
Windows and doors will be opened where possible
